Yes. We do not provide acute or urgent care services and we do not replace the services that your current medical team provides. We provide a stand-alone service focused on creating and advancing health.

The Essentials Program is $1999 and typically is completed in 6 months.

+ Does the cost of the initial consultation apply to the cost of the Essentials Program?

Yes, your initial consultation is one of your eight appointments included in the Essentials Program. When you enroll in the Essentials Program your payment for the initial consult is credited to the total investment in the program.

+ Does your office take insurance for Functional Medicine Services?

We strongly believe that third party payers shouldn't interfere with the relationship between a patient and their doctor, influence medical decisions, or limit access to care. Therefore, we are a proud direct care provider.

We do not accept insurance or Medicare for our consulting services. Your case requires special attention, educational resources, communication, and time that is not covered by insurance companies.

However, we will provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network benefit reimbursement. You may also use your HSA or FSA account. Please check your with your insurance provider or Human Resources Department to find out.

Can I use my HSA or FSA account?

Yes. Please check with your Human Resources department to make sure.

+ Are labs and supplements included?

Labs & supplements are not included in the Essentials Program and are an additional cost. We don not mark up labs or supplements. Our pricing is 100% transparent, mainly because we think it always should be. We carry a mini medicinary of the things we use most (or are a total bugger to find) priced at cost.

+ How much should I budget for functional lab testing costs?

On average, you should budget between $500-$1000 for functional lab tests.

+ Is the Essentials Program and functional lab testing covered by insurance?

The Essentials Program and functional lab testing is not typically covered by insurance, however in many cases you can use your HSA or FSA for your visits.

In addition, we will provide a Superbill for your appointments that you can submit to your insurance provider to receive out-of-network benefit reimbursement if that is a part of your plan. We do not guarantee reimbursement.

+ How does the lab testing work?

Bloodwork is done either at your insurance provider's prefered local laboratory or in the comfort of your home or office with a mobile phlebotomist who will come to you.

Functional labs tests are typically done at home with a kit and clear instructions we provide you with. Payment is made directly to the lab to ensure access to the lowest price possible.

+ Does your office accept patients that live in other cities or countries?

No. Currently we are only accepting patients who can travel to Portland, Oregon for their appointments.

+ What are your office hours?

Our office hours are Tuesday to Friday 10AM-5PM.

+ What happens after I complete the Essentials Program?

Once your health is on track, you won't need us as much. At the conclusion of your program we will discuss next steps and create a plan for you to follow up as needed.
